Once upon a time…

We are a family from Malaga with a great love of tourism and extensive experience in the hotel sector. We created the Funker brand (fun bunker) after identifying the need to improve the existing hostel offering and driven by our desire to continue growing. And, after numerous trips in search of the best hostels in the world, we decided to build our own in Malaga, our hometown. We wanted accommodation that was well located and connected to the local population, where you could not only sleep and be attracted by the prices, but where the design and spaces were carefully considered, where the common areas took centre stage, giving you a multitude of options for having fun, working and meeting people from different cultures, without forgetting quality and comfort. And we believe we have achieved this.
